It's almost 3 years since the people of Savern (Bas-Rhin) adopted Cristal, the little electric shuttle from Alsace. More than 100,000 people have used it since it was introduced, twice as many as expected. The municipality of Rosheim is now testing this silent, non-polluting mode of transport.
Since Monday 5 February, a strange vehicle called the "Rosabus" has been plying the streets of Rosheim. It's the Cristal electric shuttle from the manufacturer Lohr, available free of charge to local residents to take them to the station or around the town. This is a six-month trial to see whether the shuttle is a hit with the public.
Today, the 10 apprentice welders are on long-term temporary contracts with Lohr Industrie through ALEMPLOI. We wish them every success for the rest of their career.
In partnership with the UIMM Alsace training centre (Union des industries et des métiers de la métallurgie), the Lohr Group welcomed and gave tours of its company to 20 secondary school students and their parents, during a morning meeting with site managers and training centre instructors.
