The town in the La Côte area is testing a modular electric vehicle this weekend which it could make available to the population in 2018.
The town of Rolle will be testing “the mobility of the future” this weekend with the Cristal shuttle, a modular electric vehicle which could be in service from the second half of 2018 during the work taking place in the town centre.
Throughout the weekend, the citizens of Rolle will be able to take part in demonstrations of a brand new means of modular electric public transport made in France. The shuttle bus could be phased in during 2018 in Rolle.
On August 2nd, 2017, Transdev announced it had engaged in a partnership with Lohr to develop a fully autonomous vehicle for public transport purpose. This new vehicle wlll be launched on the market in 2018, the group stated.
Alsatian manufacturer Lohr and public transport operator Transdev engaged in a partnership to develop a new electric and autonomous vehicle for public transport.
A pioneer in shared and autonomous mobility services, Transdev follows its development strategy with regards to new technologies in the field of autonomous transport by signing a partnership with Lohr.
The partnership between Transdev and Lohr, announed on Wednesday, August 2nd, aims at developing a new, fully autonomous eletric vehicle for public transport. This new vehicle will be commercialized in 2018.
