Electric shuttles: Gland leads the way, and it’s paved with good intentions

The trial of electric, modular carts in Gland will be co-financed by the Nyon Region. The aim is to get them approved for use in Switzerland, which could benefit everyone.

Small but not too energetic (their speed does not exceed 50 km/h), the Cristal shuttles have everything it takes to thread their way easily through the narrow streets of Gland’s Old Town. And it’s just the thing, as these electric carts will be appearing on the town’s roads from 16 September to 27 October as part of an experimental phase.
