The Lohr group (Duppigheim) is the winner of the Trophée des entreprises d'Alsace in the technological innovation category. The company is responsible for two innovative transport systems, Cristal and Draisy.
According to the Florirail and 50 ans sans train ça suffit associations, light trains designed by the Alsatian company Lohr, based in Duppigheim near Strasbourg, could be a relevant solution for the return of trains to the Guebwiller valley.
Since Monday 5 February, two shuttle buses have been plying the streets of Rosheim. These free, 100% electric shuttles have been designed by the Lohr group with disabled users as a priority.
It's almost 3 years since the people of Savern (Bas-Rhin) adopted Cristal, the little electric shuttle from Alsace. More than 100,000 people have used it since it was introduced, twice as many as expected. The municipality of Rosheim is now testing this silent, non-polluting mode of transport.
