Alsace-based Lohr is today presenting a model of its light train solution, developed in conjunction with SNCF to carry up to 80 people. The train is designed to operate in the French provinces on small lines that are currently little used.
While the major rail transport manufacturers are presenting their innovations at this week’s Innotrans show in Berlin, with a particular focus on high-speed trains and all the solutions that can speed things up, in Strasbourg, Alsace-based Lohr is playing the counter-programming game. On Wednesday, it presented the design of a model of its “Draisy” train, a small shuttle that Lohr hopes to market from 2027-2028.
