The trajectory of the Draisy electric rail shuttle takes shape

Whether for freight or transporting up to 80 people, the Draisy electric shuttle built by Lohr is of interest to the SNCF for little-used or currently closed routes.
In March 2022, the SNCF launched the Draisy concept as part of its Tech4Mobility programme dedicated to innovative new forms of mobility. With trials due to start in 2025, this electric shuttle, which is about the same length as a bus (14 metres, twice as compact as a railcar), was presented at the end of September in Strasbourg as part of the Congress of the Regions of France.
